Te Rūnanga o Ōtākou are pleased to Host the 2017 Treaty of Waitangi Festival at Ōtākou Marae.

This year our celebration has as its theme “Te Hereka Waka,” The mooring place for the many waka who have voyaged to our shores.

The term Te Hereka Waka is the theme for this years event. It is used in the broadest sense as a metaphor that celebrates the arrival of the many people who landed at Ōtākou whether by waka or sailing ship.
