On 22 April, Dame Margaret Bazley and her fellow commissioners from Environment Canterbury visited us at Ōnuku Marae for a hui. This will be Dame Margaret’s last visit to Ōnuku in this capacity. It has been a real privilege over the years to host the commissioners, as it has strengthened the relationship between ECAN and Ōnuku.

The main focus of the day was to engage in conversation around water and what runs into our moana around the inner harbour.
We really appreciated the opportunity to discuss these issues and to be able to spend time with the commissioners. Having their support and counsel is invaluable for the future development of Ōnuku.
