Kaumātua health days

Kaumātua health days will resume again on 11 February. Health days will still be held at the Salvation Army Hall until further notice. We have a lot of health promotions planned for our kaumātua this year along with their usual activities.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of one of our kaumātua Vera Melvin. Vera passed away suddenly at the start of January. Vera will be sadly missed by all staff, volunteers and other kaumātua here at Hokonui. We send our warm regards to Ross and his family. We will be having a service for Vera on our first health day for the year, so all her friends and whānau here at Hokonui can say their goodbyes.

Nurse-led clinics

The Nurse led clinics were a great success last year and were well used by the community.

We have the following dates set for this year – all held on a Monday: 2 February, 10am-4pm; 2 March, 2pm-8pm; 13 April, 10am-4pm; 4 May 2pm-8pm; 15 June, 10am-4pm.

Please note that these clinics are free of charge and no appointment is needed, this is a drop-in style clinic. If you have any questions regarding this service please feel free to contact Mere Fowler at Hokonui Rūnanga Health & Social Services Trust on 03 208 7954.
